Vitamin Injection Therapy

Vitamin Injection Therapy: a 3-Step Treatment Plan

Product Design, UX, & Visual Design

My Role

Ethnographic research, user journey mapping, product design, visual branding, web development

Tools Used

User journey, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, HTML / CSS / Javascript

My Client

Dr. Brian Yeung, a naturopathic physician

Timeframe

2 months (still ongoing)

Background

  • Target Audience: Generation X with disposable income

Problem / Why?

Dr. Yeung administered a series of vitamin injection therapies (VIT) that he wished to market to the public through his website and other print media. He envisioned a visually-compelling graphic that would simplify his therapies to an intuitive treatment plan. In addition, this graphic should provide just enough information to interest potential clients, and eventually, to book a consultation appointment with Dr. Yeung to inquire further.

Opportunities

  • How might we visualize Dr. Yeung’s therapies into quantifiable steps with end goals?

  • How might we design a graphic that provides just enough information to attract attention?

Health Check

Your complete health is first assessed: health conditions, blood work, diet, and lifestyle.

Customize

Once your health information is analyzed, a treatment plan is formed with your personalized nutrient injections.

Administer

Your customized injection is administered 1-2 times through weekly follow-up appointments, for around 18-20 weeks.

Final Prototype(s) / What?

What did I learn?

  • The idea of a 3-step treatment plan originates from an interaction & experience designer's favourite tool: a user journey. Despite the Dr. Yeung’s initial idea of presenting all the positive effects of VIT, I was able pitch the idea of visualizing his clients’ journey as they take part in VIT, which he was very receptive towards.

  • Never be afraid to expand the range of skills in visual design!

  • Be flexible with the clients you deal with, but be proactive about pitching new ideas!

What would I have done differently?

  • To further develop this project, I would make this graphic interactive on the web. By making each step clickable, necessary information will appear to further inform Dr. Yeung’s potential clients.
